NOTICE OF EMERGENCY MEETING
The Board of Education of the County of Randolph, West Virginia Pursuant to the provisions of the West Virginia Open Governmental Proceedings Act, W. Va. Code § 6-9A-1 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the County of Randolph, West Virginia, will hold an emergency meeting as follows:
Date: March 21, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: 40 Eleventh Street, Elkins, WV 26241
Purpose of Emergency Meeting: The purpose of this emergency meeting is to address circumstances that require immediate action by the Board, specifically the appointment of an Interim Superintendent to fill the office of the superintendent who resigned March 20, 2026, so as to avoid imminent substantial harm to the board, its students, its employees, and to ensure continuity of leadership and operations within the Randolph County school system.
Due to the urgent nature of this matter, which could not have been reasonably anticipated in sufficient time to comply with regular meeting notice requirements, this emergency meeting is being called in accordance with W. Va. Code § 6-9A-3.

2. Discussion and possible action to appoint Terry George to serve as its Interim Superintendent of Schools for a term to begin on March 21, 2026, and end June 30, 2026, at the same salary and benefits and other terms and conditions as provided to the former superintendent and to be set forth in a written contract between the parties.
